The Beatles
Here Comes The Sun
If I had to pick my 10 favourite Beatles songs ever, this would be high upĀ on the list. George Harrison was a legend in my eyes and one of the most melodic guitarists in music history. His playing was rarely flashy but always worked perfectly for the song.
Many modern guitarists can learn a hell of a lot from George`s playing. Some of these modern players may have the breathtaking technique but he had the perfect sense of melody which is crucial to being an interesting and memorable songwriter as well as guitarist.
This is a song that is awkward for many people to learn as the Intro/verse and the chorus are similar (at the beginning anyway). Many people, therefore, get confused between the two parts.
I have tried my best in the video to show you the difference between these two parts and to keep it clear.
Take your time as always. Thankfully, once the intro/verse and chorus are learnt then there is only the link section and the middle/riff section to learn.
If you find it tough, stick with it as it is a truly brilliant, distinctive and very memorable tune!
