The ‘5-Song Club’

The first big goal I give to my students is simple: learn 5 songs from start to finish. Doing this builds confidence, gives you clear aims, helps you develop key skills, and helps to prevent a lot of random, aimless practice. Five songs keep you focused and then you can build even further, and specialise, from there!

How it works

• Once you can play five songs, give yourself a huge pat on the back.
• (Optional) You can send me the video of you playing the five songs, and I will send you a ‘well done’ gift. To send me the video, upload your video and send me the link (Ask me if you need assistance with this). 
• Songs don’t need to be perfect. Play the main themes (15–60 seconds is fine) and send them to me,

• A real sense of achievement. Most guitarists never do this, but you can.
• New skills developed, such as musicality, technique, chord changes, etc!
